THis is a list of my favorite rehab tools. All were purchased by mIn no particular order:
1. Theraputty. I’m not going to lie when i was first introduced to Theraputtty , i did not like it. I most particularly do not like the exercise where you hide small o÷bjects in the theraputty and remove them using your affected hand.. I also don’t like the fact that it’s messy. I mainly use this to practice opposition finger pinching. I also exercise my palm muscles by using my affected hand to roll it into a ball.I first divide the putty in half and put a half in each hand. I roll the putty into a ball using my non affected hand and then mimic the movements with my affected hand. I also use the putty to improve grip strength by squeezing the putty in my clinched fist trying to get the putty to vcome out of the top and the bottom of my clinched fist . I do these exercises every other day.
.i would c recommend buying the whole set all colors) it costs more if you buy the individual colors one at a time .

GRAede pinch clips
Tese are the same clips i used at therapykMy insurance only approved 10 hours ogf therapyn so I knew most of my rehab would be doone on my. Own . I squeez tht clip open and let it 10 times or until my fingers begin to ache. Then I hold the clip open fotr 10 seconds or until my fingers get sore.

I also use te clips to pick up jenga blocks….moving them from one side of the table to the other.
Jena blocks. I build the jenga tower with my non agffected hand. I use my unaffected hand to remove th blocks. I did this for approximately 5 days until I was proficient at removing the blocks with my affected hand.

Pony beads. These were probably the )most inexpensive items on this list. I got a pack of approx 300 beads from walmart
1000 Pcs Acrylic Single Color Pony Beads 6x9mm Pony Beads Bulk for Bracelets Making Plastic Beads Hair Beads for Braids
As I continue to work with these beadsn I realize the ultimate test..and goal is to be able to pick up the beads from the rounded dish by touch alonekeyese closed. Oday im beginning this quest by practicing picking up the beads from a flat surface by touch. Wish me well.

I lay these on aflat surface and practice my opposition by picking them up between my thumb and th other fingers on my affected hand. once i master picking them up from a flart surfacen iput about 10 beads in a curved dish similar to the one below

9 holepeg test.
The below links are similar to but substantially different from the standardized 99 hole peg test

9 Hole Wooden Pegboard for Occupational Therapy Nine Hole Peg Test to Improve Fine Motor Coordination, Finger Dexterity, Concentration and Increase Reactionary Speed https://a.co/d/hbrYvoU
The version above is made of wood and and the peds are wider than on the standardized version..Both of these features make this version easier to do.. one may find that they mastered the wooden version but are still unable to complete the standardized test.
This version with the metal pegs appears to be more difficult than the standard version due to the thinner rods. Thinner rods would makke this version more difficult to do. The manufacturer makes replacement pegs in the event you lose a peg…like I did. Note a white eraser from a mechanical pencil is an acceptable replacement peg too.
this bead exercise is something I came up with my self to assist me in doing the 9 hole peg test.
FIRrm rubber ball. THis was the first rehab tool i acquired. It was given to me as a gift from a family member. I must say this toolwas not something i used at first.. my family would constantly ask me if I was practing with the ball….to me it sounded like…is the cat/dog playing with their new toy. Thus, I did not takre too kindly towards in. i squeez the ball as hard as i can in the palm of my hand. I rotate the ball around muy hand and I pinch the ball between my thumb and opposing fingers as hard as I can. I do not practice this as much as I should. Only approximately 3 times a week.
3 PACK Fingrr strengthener. There is a similar device sold by another brand with adjustable resistsnce. No matter how much i adjusted the resistance never seemed to change. I mastered that version i 3days. Whereas ive had the 3 pack set with dedicated light medium and hard resistance for approximately a monthand imstill working on the medium resistance.

Please leave a comment if you have found any of this helpful…… my stroke only impacted my hand…thus the extreme focus on hand therapy.
